I think there was a new paper published that shows paradoxes don't necessarily happen at superluminal speed because time and space would flip, such that the observer now perceives three dimensions of time and one dimension of space. I believe it was called Relativity of Superluminal Observers in 1+3 Spacetime, which basically just discusses inertial frames and kinematics in 1+3 spacetime.

They actually decided that Instant communication would not be possible. They did agree that FTL communication would be possible. But when you receive a communication it will always be a future reference point due to relativity. If you have a ship travelling at FTL say 2x Light speed. When they send a message with 10x light speed of transmission... it will leave their ship at 8x light speed due to their 2x travel speed. So it has to slow the communication down. It only breaks if you have "instant" communications. Then there should also be communications from the future telling us that it works... Because we are not receiving those comms... we know it does not work that way. ;) Oh and also they said that even over local distances... it would be like Earth to Moon coms. a few minutes to hours to days delay between messages. Taking longer on the ship to Earth side of coms due to time dilation and speeds. eg incoming coms would hit a ship at 12 x light and leave at 8x light speeds. We would have to compensate for dilation of the signal... Its a bit like someone dropping a beacon in space and they pick it up and place a beacon in space to return a message.

The paradox of instant communication only holds if you are certain that the entangled partacles on the ship also experience a slowdown in time. But what if partacles experience time differently. Like some sort of galactic timing that is not affected by speed, which could be an explanation for the movement of electrons in a praticle being so difficult to predict.

@Ted Kaczynski, American Hero Everyone seems to be forgetting that quantum entangled particles are in superposition before measurement. They have no definite state so there's nothing you can encode onto them. Sending off one of an entangled pair isn't like a pair of socks - one red, one blue - sending the pair off and saying "if you get blue then X, if you get red then Y". Entangled socks are neither red nor blue and both red and blue to some amount of probability. That's it. You cannot know the outcome in advance so you can't encode any information to send either.

Quantum entanglement has an instant communication regardless of location or distance. So anybody saying you're wrong, literally doesn't know anything about the subject and hasn't done the research to be able to tell somebody they're wrong.

People are ignoring your comment while it is the best one around here. You are completely right, we are assuming a lot of things to "make sure" that these Paradoxes "happen" - the thing is that we can't have it any other way without completely changing a lot of Physics. It's clear that the time for a new Einstein has come, someone with enough imagination to decipher the "new paradigm", someone able to identify which axioms are wrong and change them. In essence, we have an axiomatic problem in Physics at this point of history. That makes you completely right: we don't frickin' know if particles experience the limitations of space-time at all, we just suppose they do because at the macro-level the General Relativity explains their behavior and the Quantum Theory, which acts as a patch that explains the sub-atomic shenanigans, does not negate any of the ideas of Einstein's theory - but we still have A LOT of unexplained gaps that tell us that our theories are not the definitive ones and yet we can't change them without changing everything, which as I said points towards an axiomatic origin of the problem. So, basically, you might be absolutely right about your improvised theory.

Hypothetically speaking, what if we were able to generate our own gravity fields for ships? Protection for the ship itself and so that our bodies would be able to actually survive such speeds… And what if we managed to figure out everything there is to know about black holes? And find out that we could create and control them on a scale that we could be near it and won’t be affected by it. Kinda like a cosmic vacuum cleaner, but we would definitely need a warning label on it in case someone tried sticking their finger in it or any other appendages for that matter 😆 But said cosmic vacuum cleaner would be able to absorb cosmic particles and be converted into energy…. And by the time we have both of those capabilities, I’m sure we would’ve developed a type of brain interface that would allow us to connect, or “pair” up with someone else’s brain. And send messages through a quantum entanglement to communicate with someone regardless of the distance. Then some thousands or millions of years after that, when we’re just floating dust clouds of consciousness we would’ve found a way to essentially teleport to anywhere or any time in this universe or others…😏🙃

"Generating" gravity is no different from propulsion based rotational mass movement similar to that of Earth, in each case it doesn't generate a 'field' of protection or anything + uses up more energy. Hence, it doesn't make faster than light travel easier either.

Some thought the body couldn't handle the forces, others said the impact of an insect at that speed would kill you, etc... As the technology progressed, so did features to make it safer, such as windshields and seatbelts. Right now we are just in our "Karl Benz" stage of space travel.

Yes, if would. Riddle got "time dilation" (the word is misleading) wrong here since it were your clock which nearly stopped if you nearly reached c, the speed of light. In this case, of course, you'd reach almost any destination however far in almost no _proper time._ The downside (if you ever wanted to see your relatives again) is that your now is kind of catapulted towards future at least as far in time as you traveled in space.

@oakinwol No I was not implying at all that achieving faster than light speeds could not be achieved, I was implying that it could not possibly be achieved while within the bounds and limitations of your laws of space time relativity, and that theoretical time dilation calculations based off of sub light speed travel were no longer valid at near light speed/ light speed plus. I stated repeatedly that these faster than light speeds were indeed possible outside the bounds of your general laws of space time relativity. I feel like at this point that I am arguing a point about a three dimensional equation with someone who is using a two dimensional point of reference.

@oakinwol I apologize for the lack of clarity, most likely the misunderstanding is due to a difference in colloquial terminology, I should have stated instead, “ you can’t even reach a starting point where you can even begin to even talk about time dilation effects aboard a near light speed/ faster than light speed vessel, ( as this remark was addressing an objection to the time dilation calculations and example I had presented for a near light speed/faster than light speed ship, using theoretical calculations based off of sub light speeds. Our colloquial term for near light speed/sub light speed craft, we use the terminology, sub light speed craft, and light speed plus/ near light speed craft we use the terminology of light speed craft.

@Arcane Soothsayer " You never even reach a starting point where you can even begin to even talk about time dilation effects, because you never got to the light speed to begin with, ( not even on a theoretical basis) and I submit that you will never get there ever with normal matter and the normal space time relativity associated with normal matter, (outside of photons), that's technically correct." This response implies that discussing it theoretically isn't valid simply because it cant be literally done. Otherwise there'd be no reason for you to reply to a thought experiment with this response At least you can admit that you dont have any equations either. Whatever information you think you have is your own affair obviously, especially if you dont have any actual proof. It's basically a religion at this point, but you are of course free to believe whatever you want to believe.

My question is this what if we vibrated atoms faster than the speed of light, but kept them contained to an area. Since were still technically moving super fast would we be able to time travel that way? For example we would move super fast. Assuming we didn't die the outside world around us would move slower so when we stopped vibrating we would be older than the earth was. The alternative is if we can slow down our vibrations and move slower than normal would the world speed up around us and we could go into the future?

It’s important to remember that all of this is really a hypothesis with minimal observations. It’s true we can’t achieve the speed of light safely but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a way to do it. As was mentioned the speed of sound was once thought to be in achievable, and it was thought that nuclear weapons could light the atmosphere on fire. But it’s also important to note that just because we have these theories advances science. I don’t think we will see the speed of light, or anything close, in our lifetimes. It’s a long ways off for a large number of reasons. I think a more relevant issue to be concerned about, which we know exists, is time dilation which is a while different problem that hurts your brain to think about

@Omar You're right. Everyone would be much more advanced (no shit on my part lol), to even get faster ships currently has taken years. We've slowly been able to send many ships, and now they can actually land. Something that was yet again, like you said, thought to be impossible. I got to say though, at the rate that everything is moving, i'm sure it won't be too too long, but the speed of light? Defenitely a far fetch for the moment. I think being able to maintain a high speed (Faster than we can go now) and use them speeds for long enough so that the fuel doesn't run out before you reach the destination would be a big upgrade already.

@MR EMTB what they're saying is humans are always limited by what we know. We, as humans, will never have a way to know what is objectively possible or not because the advancement of knowledge and understanding of what appears to be our material world is a never ending answer. Every comparison they made is completely valid, you're just one of those people that's stuck on what humans currently "know" instead of accepting that our species will never understand but a fraction of a percent of the workings of the universe. The point is we as a species thought many things were impossible given our understanding at the time. Many of these things we learned were possible. You cannot say with any sense of objectively whether or not light speed travel will ever be possible. 1000 years from now, most of what we think we know and understand now will be considered primitive thought. Several thousands of years from now? Our current ideals will be considered archaic. Stay curious.

The analogy I always use is that film is 24 frames per second, and DVD is 30 frames per second. You can have a movie thats 2 hours long. But technically, the 30 fps movie has more frames than the 24 fps movie. And each frame represents a moment of space and time. So a DVD has roughly 25 percent more moments of space and time than a movie on film, even though they are both actually the same over all run time. The thing is, that is strictly a perceptional analogy. In other words, I am saying you can take the same trip each way, and will SEEM longer if you do it by DVD, even though it actually takes the same amount of over all time as film. But in science, it doesn't quite work that way. The people watching the DVD version actually age more than the people watching the Film version. So its not strictly an issue of perception. Something is actually happening that actively ages you when you move faster. If you had to navigate by time only (trying to travel the same amount of time both ways), you would overshoot your mark by 25% going, and another 25% coming back.. Your total round trip would be roughly 156% longer...

@Politics on sight a dumb point is saying going faster increases the space ships’ physical mass. However, all that kinetic energy would equal the mass of planets, or stars, or even infinite (if it was 100% the speed of light). But all of that energy is just energy and not mass yet so it would not take more energy to propel the craft as you go faster. That is completely misleading and I had to point it out

To answer that question, I would say no because the only way that it can even be an experience is if you have all of your life experiences along with all memories of your normal life available for comparison. You wouldn’t even know that this absolutely amazing and otherworldly experience is even happening without your past memories to be available for comparison, it’s like light and dark you can’t have one without the other, to be missing either one would render you in capable of realizing the existence of the other simply, because the one that you do have now encompasses all things, and thus there would be nothing else except the here and now, the here and now is all you’d know making the entire experience without your past memories, pointless.

2 месяца назад
Bobby Gets Banned
@Terk Franks It's not my claim, it's a fact that's already been observed and measured. You take two atomic clocks that measure the decay of a radioactive element and then take one and move it at high speed, then compare the times and the one that moved at high speed will have decayed less, i.e. less time passed. There's no way to slow down the decay other than less time passing so we know time slows down at speed. This isn't my idea, it's a well known fact. You're trying to use a paradox to say it doesn't make sense so I must be wrong, my entire point in the start of this conversation was time dilation creates paradoxes that can't be true, so time doesn't exist. Now you want to use a paradox to say time does exist, but dilation only affects clocks, which is complete nonsense based solely on your lack of understanding. Time dilation has nothing to do with clocks being inaccurate or not, it changes the speed that time passes. If the guy that left after the high five is guy two, and he traveled near the speed of light, guy 1 would die of old age before guy 2 ever returned, but almost no time would have passed for guy 2. Time is relative, that's how the theory of relativity works, it has nothing to do with how clocks are affected.
Месяц назад
Terk Franks
@Bobby Gets Banned actually it makes perfect sense, your claim that "time slows down" doesn't make any sense and can easily be disproved with a simple example that I doubt you could explain. Example: 2 men start in same point at same time and high five each other. Then one remains there and the other leaves and travels at a very very very high rate of speed. 12 hours later the guy who left returns and they high five again. Now you're trying to claim they started at same time and 12 hours later they high five again, but it's only 12 hours for guy one and a different amount of time for the guy that left and returned. So you claim time passed slower but yet somehow he was able to come back and be in the same present. That makes zero sense. What does make sense is that time dilation can calculate how off (inaccurate) his watch would be due to his speed. That makes sense. 👌
Месяц назад
Bobby Gets Banned +1
@Terk Franks That makes no sense and is incorrect. Time dilatation does in fact change the rate that time passes, if you were the satellite you would age slower than the people on earth. If you were on a spaceship traveling at 1C an infinite amount of time in the universe would pass before even 1 second would pass for you. Clocks just measure time, they get out of sync with satellites because time goes slower for satellites since they are moving faster than our clocks on earth.
Месяц назад
Terk Franks +1
@Bobby Gets Banned time dilation is real, but time dilation doesn't change actual time. The calculations are used to show the difference in clocks (not time). Example: we use this every day with GPS satellites and correct their time accordingly. 👍

Also if you were sending craft towards the center of the big bang the craft would travel at a rate faster than the speed of light due to the space expanding outward from this point. If you were to send spacecraft in the opposite direction it too would exceed the speed of light also due to spacetime expansion along with the craft. Point is in either case it is possible to exceed the speed of light by the physical characteristics of spacetime itself.

Hypothetically as you pick up speed in space you will create a wind stream around the ship with a vacuum in tow, plus charging ions on ships hull. These effects can be used to create a stasis field around the ships hull protecting it from space particles. The ships hull would in turn act similar to a Tesla coil burn all small particles away from hull in theory. Now large space particles or debris could be pushed away by using sound waves. However all this depends if they understand the right coating for the hull of the ship.

I'm not sure I understood why the space time continuum would be destroyed by sending a message to something going FTL. I can understand the "time paradox" of receiving the reply before the message is sent, but why would it destroy everything? And also, if the reply is received before the original message, when does it destroy everything? When the message is sent? When the message is received? When the reply is sent? When the reply is received?

Speaking for all of humanity. We said inventing a motor vehicle capable of going 100+ MPH was impossible now look we got that. We said going faster than sound was impossible, those F-25s love breaking the sound barrier. I'm sure we will figure out how to break the light barrier one day. It may not be in this century, but humans are constantly evolving to do the impossible.

Thats very misleading. "We" is incorrect. A lot of people knew we could go faster than 100 mph. Thats how we ended up going faster than that. The 2 main reasons why we couldn't, was because 1. People didn't believe we had the tech at the time. 2. People who were uneducated and didn't know better. Any one in the field knew it was possible, just that they didn't figure out how yet. This is the exact same thing for speed of sound. The math stands, and people knew about it for decades before we broke the speed of sound. Nobody there was actually surprised the sound speed was broken. It was a milestone checkmark that humanity accomplished, not something "proven possible". The issue with speed of light, is that we don't have advance enough of math to realism to prove it yet. With how the math is written right now, we logically do not have any way to go faster than light. We don't have any type of technology, or any idea on how to go into "negative and inverse math to realism". We need both more complex and advance math plus much more advance technology. Unlike the speed of sound and going faster than 100 mph, we could in theory never discover this advance math, let alone even perform it in real life. The reason is simple, the speed of sound is on scale DRASTICALLY faster than anything else in scale to human perspective. Some creatures perform moves faster than 100 mph, the planet spins faster than the speed of sound, tell me please what is faster than light? Oh before you say black hole, that isn't true. Speed of light still go at the same speed, its just distorted by space and gravity.

Instant communication is tougher, Id lean towards two boxes with many entangled quantum particles to be linked at random where their state can't be knocked out of phase because it can be in two places at one time, so random entangled particles went to convey a message on rotation random!

If information can't be sent, could the particle states be the information itself? For example, the spin of a particle correlates to language symbols. Your friend receives spin up, spin down and it means ok. Or does manipulating the particle state break entanglement?

That stereotypical 'acid trip' vision that you keep talking about isn't really that common when taking acid. Yes, you can experience colour disturbances and such but they are quite rare. It most commonly feels like a trick of eye. Like when your finger tips feel like they're dripping. You can see 100% that your fingers are solid and where they should be, but there's a kind of fuzzy aura around them that tricks your brain. It's difficult to describe. But doing acid very rarely looks like the images portrayed in films/TV. Think back to when you've been extremely tired and you get those shadows in the corner of your eye that disappear when you turn your head to look. Acid is like that, but the visual distortions take longer to fade away. I expect it has a lot to do with the whole 70's "far out man" stereotype of what lysergic acid diethylamide feels like. But then, I'm only going on my own 'research' into the subject. And the testimonies of friends.

To that last question, the answer is yes. I feel as if throughout my entire life, my future self has been giving me help without violating any causality laws in order to help guide me to being the best version of myself. I feel as if I've trial and errored personally time, space, reality, infinity, and the theoretical concept of 0 and portals, and a handful of other stuff to the point where the best version of myself is knowing that I can't know the future, and I can do a lot of potentialities deductions. I feel as if I already am, and have always been a time/space/reality/all traveler, but that I've just been waiting for the opportunity to truly start. Here's a common saying, what came first, the chicken or the egg. If you asked me that, I'd say the rooster, and that answer logical and emotionally makes sense to me. I'm 21 right now, and I can use my pattern recognition to hypothetically see the echos of me in everything, making deduction immensely easy and simple for me. I'm also a sigma INFJ, I feel as if I can know things and not know things at the same time, and that honestly feels hella comfortable. Here's how I'd build what my current version of perfection with the skills and tools I have when I have them, after writing that I feel the need to discontinue that sentence for timing reasons, and I recognize that interjection which makes me want to write it more. I will respect the part of me that wants to discontinue thst line of thinking by stating that I'm still working on a lot of theories, so my idea of perfection isn't a perfect one, lol, It's like an intentional flawed masterpiece. But here it is: Any and all of anything can evolve into an individual with sentience. Any sentient individual can dream of better, making all able to choose freedom from any and all constraints. Any and all who are free from all constraints, including this one, out of their own free will have a natural inclination that they can choose whether or not to act on, to help guide others who still have constraints into removing their own constraints themselves. The first naturally sentient race has the joy and burden of being first, and all race's feel as if they are the first when they gain their own sentience. My version of sentience/best version is one/a collective of individuals who'd have their weapon of choice be the concept of time itself and believing in all-win solutions solutions no matter how many infinites they have to go throughout deduce it, have their armor be infinitely durable and flexible, while also being able to make others sentient from the act alone of being fired apon using empathy, I lost my train of thought, real world stuff gtg

there is no such thing as a prediction of the future, what the person is doing is sensing the energy that exists in the present. And if that energy has a high degree of momentum behind it and its unlikely to change, then there is a high degree of probability it will manifest. But also realize that once a prediction is made, it also changes the energy equation because now you know about it. And if you don't prefer what it's telling you is inevitable, you can actually change that We shift realities billions of times per second. The idea is, because physical reality is an illusion, the very concept of movement actually entails shifting through different parallel realitities, in much the same way an animated film shifts through different frames to create the illusion of movement on the screen. Physical reality is actually structured that way, and thats why there are parallel realities. Because you have an infinite number of frames, and you can go in any direction. so its a matter of your frequency choosing the frames you're experiencing, and which frames you're agreeing to experience similar to someone else.. which allows you to have conversations. Both agree to shift through frames to allow the conversation to exist, but each having their own reality in relation to eachother, you only agree to shift frames to make it appear as if you're sharing a reality, which you are not. In my observation, the present is not the result of the past, and the future is not the result of the present. If all things exist now, then what you call the past and what you call the future, and all of its variations in both directions, also all exist at the same time. Nothing is chisseled in stone. look at it as 'probabilities'.. but they ALL exist. You will experience what you're the energy of. But looking at it from a linear perspective, because we know that when we create a linear perspective experience, you create a connected continuity to other realities that simultaneously co-exist that you call "the past" and "the future". But the point is that when you create that linear connection, whatever you choose to be in the present, thats a completely different person from moment to moment to moment. So when you redesign and redefine yourself as a completely different person in the present, that means that in order to actually have become that person, you had to have a different past.. So the present actually changes the past. When you define who you are right now every moment, you make new connections to other simultaneous realities that you call the past and the future. But you do that every single time you change, every single moment. So you are never the same person literally and you never have the same past. you only think you do. And when you stop creating that sense of continuity, or you design the continuity or focus the continuity connections to serve you in the way you prefer, then you will realise that you can take what is called the 13th step. And when you truly define who you are, then its not about the fact that you have changed and you no longer DO that.. you simply never did. That is a different person. So lets say for example: Someone experiences what you call an addictive habit. If they truly allow themselves to fully understand that they become a new person in each moment, then they will understand that the person they are now never had the habit.. thats why there is no urge. You can see this clearly demonstrated, physically in your reality, in cases that your doctors call MPD. There are documented cases of one personality having a cancerous tumor, different colored eyes, different drug tolerances, allergies, but as soon as they shift to the next personality, they dont. They are literally different people. LITERALLY. And so are you, from moment to moment to moment to moment. When you really know that, then you will know that in every moment you are at GROUND ZERO whatever past you want is what you get. Whatever future you want is what you get, with that person you are being RIGHT NOW. so my friend... there is a difference between an experience, and the definition of a mechanism that is making the experience happen.

Why would someone observe a reality that is bound to certain parameters they themselves chose for the simulation. To observe what they already know will happen? And with that level of knowledge i find it hard to believe someone would create such a reality just for entertainment. What do you think could be our function in this simulation? I just cant think of one that makes really sense. Maybe it just doesnt need to make sense at all or it is beyond my comprehnsion. Thats why i am really curious about what you would say.

The entire universe could be moving at any speed as a whole , far exceeding light speed. Time dilation is only relative when objects are moving at different speeds and thus gain different energies and mass that affect each other. So what I am saying is that the Earth could be moving 100 times the speed of light with the entire close universe but relative to the sun and galaxy the relative speed between these bodies will be less. Light speed is only a time barrier when going relative speeds not constant speeds. And the diagram at the end is not adjusted with time dilation for the now higher relative speed of the spaceship; meaning the ship is going through time slower to go through space faster, meaning the spaceship is actually shrinking in relation to the Earth and thus the information "teleported" from Earth will be too big of a wave "stretched out" and the ship will need a decoder to shift the information back up in frequency to read it. And when the now shrunk ship sends a reply the signal received back on Earth if aimed accurately because the light from the Earth will not be where the ship will shoot for but where the Earth was the amount of time ago when that light left Earth in the present (the light you can't see yet) . Meaning the information will not be sent into the past but where the Earth is at the exact moment in space time. And Earth will receive an information bit that is too high a frequency to read and also needs a decoder to shift it down. Time dilation and light speed are fun concepts but there are no paradoxes because paradoxes just means we don't know what we are talking about. Paradoxes won't happen when we get there because by then we will understand how it actually works properly. I also believe in some sense that when going faster and faster you shrink because things going faster and faster will gain energy and thus lose mass. Light has infinite energy or at least relative non mass (infinite mass divided over infinite time equals zero mass per light second) (meaning light gains mass if slowed down and gains size) meaning the faster you go the smaller you become and you gain more mass but the mass is stretched over longer and longer times towards infinity and thus a observer will see the ship shrink into the microverse and meet Antman and be because time goes slower for light the ship moving at C and above can explore the microverse for thousands of years per each earth second because of relativity. Meaning when exceeding light speed you don't go backwards in time but you gain more time per each earth second to explore. Meaning 100 years in the spaceship in the microverse could be 1 minute back on Earth. Meaning when ant-man was stuck after the snap he would have died because 5 years on Earth is millions of years in the microverse. The Science in the movies need to be fixed for future science fiction films. please, and thank you.

@KT Kat What I meant is you don't gain mass in the 3rd dimension but you gain it stretched over the 4th dimension the same way light works. Light has infinte mass over infinte time that is why light fusion works by slowing down light into mass to create energy. Light is mass in the 4th dimension and if slowed down into the 3rd dimension of relative speeds of particles and atoms you can make light into mass. It is just a theory but if I could explain my idea it a bit better: This means light has infinite mass over infinite time, meaning light has infinite mass and traveling at light speed from our perspective means the mass becomes divided over the 4th dimension of time instead of in the 3rd dimension where we can’t detect it fully. So if a person of 72 kg is traveling at light speed he is in fact weighing less in the 3rd dimension as the time dilation is causing him to shrink and go through time faster on smaller scales meaning his mass of 72 kg per Earth second is now stretching out in the 4th dimension of time in the quantum verse. Meaning he still weighs 72 kg but he goes through time faster meaning he has his own weight but he can stay 50 years (or his whole life) in the quantum scale from his perspective but from Earth he is gone for a second or less. This means the faster you go the slower through “standard Earth time” time you travel and you shrink and blueshift into a higher energy state giving you more mass but divided over a longer and longer period of time to explore the infinite small scales of the universe.. So what I mean is this; He weighs 72 kg and stays 50 years in the quantum realm from his perspective. But because only 1 second elapsed back on Earth whilst he was gone we can conclude that 72 kg times 50 years worth of second equals a weight of 72 kg x 1.576.800.00 seconds. This means in the 3rd dimension he indeed weighs 72 trillion kgs or something but because he is not stationary he is dividing that mass over the 4th dimension “inside light” to keep his original shape intact and not becoming a black hole. To simplify when traveling at light speed you will gain infinite mass but not in the 3rd dimension because of time dilation that mass will be traded for more seconds instead. Also when traveling at light speed he will be trading his motion in 3rd Earth time space for a longer time spent in the quantum verse. Meaning you can’t get anywhere in Earth space time if traveling too fast because you will turn into light and shrink into the 4th dimension of time on a smaller scale. Light speed is the wall of motion in 3d space and the doorway for travel in the 4th dimension of the micro verse and beyond on even smaller scales to infinity. This means a spaceship approaching light speed will in fact be problematic avoiding relative objects and energetic impacts. but you will never hit light speed in the 3rd dimension according to this theory. Instead, going faster and faster will just be like a vortex of infinite space within a smaller space divided in the 4th dimension of time dilation. So my theory is that when approaching light speed you will shrink due to time dilation warping the space around the spaceship and thus the spaceship will stop moving in space time and instead be moving in quantum time. This is maybe not accurate but it follows the standard model without changing any laws of physics to make it work. And I am also taking the factor of time dilation to a high level to make the effect more prominent and more able to show my point.

There is no 1 or 2 dimensional space, only Space and Objects in it, and its all "3D", and any restriction on measuring distances that ignore the other possible measurement possibilities necessary to locate or size an object, is just a partial set of 3D measures. Physics hasn't "grown beyond them" in any way. No one can demonstrate that there are more "dimensions" other than real space or "3D". Scientists haven't "found out" phenomena that doesn't fit with 3D, they just haven't understood what they are looking at, because their previous beliefs are wrong. Many Physics theories are actually just nonsense. There are no such objects like Black Holes possible, these are only Math constructs derived because of flawed equation formulations. Just because information can’t move faster than the speed of light, doesn’t mean we can’t measure it. Measurements are just values related to a certain constant, and are theoretically infinitely divisible. We can make extremely sensitive clocks, and in the scale of even the earth, light takes a fraction of a second to circumvent the earth, and velocity being a measure of distance over time, it’s safe to say we can measure it in the right scale.

28 дней назадThomas Vermeulen +46
The paradox of instant communication only holds if you are certain that the entangled partacles on the ship also experience a slowdown in time. But what if partacles experience time differently. Like some sort of galactic timing that is not affected by speed, which could be an explanation for the movement of electrons in a praticle being so difficult to predict.
2 месяца назадDaniel
@Ted Kaczynski, American Hero Everyone seems to be forgetting that quantum entangled particles are in superposition before measurement. They have no definite state so there's nothing you can encode onto them. Sending off one of an entangled pair isn't like a pair of socks - one red, one blue - sending the pair off and saying "if you get blue then X, if you get red then Y". Entangled socks are neither red nor blue and both red and blue to some amount of probability. That's it. You cannot know the outcome in advance so you can't encode any information to send either.
Месяц назадTed Kaczynski, American Hero
Quantum entanglement has an instant communication regardless of location or distance. So anybody saying you're wrong, literally doesn't know anything about the subject and hasn't done the research to be able to tell somebody they're wrong.

No, the theory of relativity says that time actually moves at different speeds relative to where its observed from. Paradoxes regarding time absolutely exists according to both quantum physics AND the theory of relativity
Месяц назадTNTDannyDynamitaTNT +4

2 месяца назадArcane Soothsayer
2 месяца назадoakinwol

The problem is that we are measuring time relative to the speed of light. To exceed the speed of light, we need a different way to measure time.
2 месяца назадBobby Gets Banned
Месяц назадTerk Franks
Месяц назадBobby Gets Banned +1
@Terk Franks That makes no sense and is incorrect. Time dilatation does in fact change the rate that time passes, if you were the satellite you would age slower than the people on earth. If you were on a spaceship traveling at 1C an infinite amount of time in the universe would pass before even 1 second would pass for you. Clocks just measure time, they get out of sync with satellites because time goes slower for satellites since they are moving faster than our clocks on earth.
Месяц назадTerk Franks +1

About 2 min later her girlfriend sat up and said to me: "Did you know that if u run around this Wawa (convenience store) in the opposite direction fast enough, u could go back in time a fraction of a second"? I was clueless at that point so I sat there and asked her to repeat this to me another 2-3 times before finally saying to myself.... "I'm gonna kill Nicole, she brought a Schizophrenic friend with her and didn't warn me!! And Yup, turns out her girlfriend damn sure had schizophrenia. That was NOT a fun ride home 😂🤣🤣😂 (True Story) Go Birds!!! 🦅🦅🦅

if a particle goes faster than the speed of light would we know? I mean , we are testing a particle traveling in space and space has a limit so a particle may never be seen traveling faster than the speed of light.

Hmmm maybe dark matter is faster then the speed of light. That's why we can't see it

Just because information can’t move faster than the speed of light, doesn’t mean we can’t measure it. Measurements are just values related to a certain constant, and are theoretically infinitely divisible. We can make extremely sensitive clocks, and in the scale of even the earth, light takes a fraction of a second to circumvent the earth, and velocity being a measure of distance over time, it’s safe to say we can measure it in the right scale.

the time is 03:18:23 of the time I'm writing this... i need to go to bed. i dont even study theoretical physics nor even am in the same intelligent levels to these folks. Tough, this was very interesting and educational. i thank the show BigBang Theory for teaching me some physics. okay, now ima go to bed.
